Kennesaw Archery Club

2302 Pitner Road
Acworth, GA 30101
The club has been in existence since 1988. We are affiliated with USA Archery and the National Field Archery Association (NFAA). USA Archery is affiliated with World Archery Federation which is the international governing body for Olympic style archery competitions.
The NFAA is primarily a bow hunter style organization. Their format focuses on target competition that simulates hunting conditions, like field, hunter and animal rounds as well as 3-D targets.

Archery is safe, fun, and easy to learn. Programs are structured to teach Olympic-target archery to students 9 years old and above. This is a lifetime sport, suitable for the entire family, and appropriate for those that have never held a bow, or those with previous experience. The Cobb County Parks and Recreation and Cultural Affairs department provides land for our use located on Pitner road in Kennesaw. We  have  an NFAA field range, a broadhead practice area for hunters and an Olympic target  practice area that is laid out in measured meters from 10 meters to 90 meters.

Students learn they must overcome distractions and obstacles, and have a plan of action. Archery provides a fundamental relaxation quality in that the  archer must be focused on the immediate moment. Archery is a self-challenging and rewarding activity, blending physical and mental resources. Basic math skills are reinforced during routine scoring in archery. The various programs offered help students learn the skills needed for tournament competition or just shooting archery for the fun of it.

All  necessary equipment is provided, or the student may bring their own, after the introductory session.
