So I was hanging out with my little cousin recently at Piedmont Park when he spotted a large dog. A slightly larger than normal labrador as a matter of fact. My little cousin decided that since this dog was a pretty big size compared to him, that it would only make sense for him to mount the dog and ride it like a horse. Luckily, the dog’s owner was very kind and understanding as I dragged my clingy and determined cousin off this dog’s back. And even more fortunate, the dog was patient too. (I have a feeling this has happened to him before!)
Once I got my cousin to settled down, he asked me why he could not ride the dog. I explained to him that it was someone else’s pet and that dogs are usually not riden. Then he explained to me that one day he would have his own dog, cat, horse and elephant. I asked what he planned to do with the elephant and with wide eyes, he looked at me and said “ride it of course!” (He does not know the term “duh” yet but I’m assuming he would have used it then especially with the look on his face!)
Our conversation got me thinking and about if I could have a wild pet what would it be. After much thought I think I would have a moose. They can run pretty fast. (35 miles per hour) They can also swim, move through water quickly and are good hunters. They have great antlers which makes them even cooler. Can you imagine making a grand entrance riding a moose holding on to it’s antlers...awesome!!! So I am wondering if there were an exotic animal you could have as a pet what would you choose and why?

I have always wanted to have a monkey. They are such sweet animals that are really smart too. They act just like people.
