Valentine's Day is a special day that allows people to show their love and appreciation for one another. It is a day where people can reflect on the love that is given to them and also share that love with others. It is about celebrating love in a special way and being thankful of the people in our lives to share that love with. Whether you are in a relationship or single, there are other people around you that you can show this same love to and that is what this day is truly about. Whether it’s your children, a co-worker or a neighbor, there are plenty of people that you can show love and appreciation to through a smile, a nice compliment or spending time together like going out to dinner or seeing a show. These are just a few ideas that come to mind when celebrating Valentine’s Day and showing others how much we care about them. So what are some your favorite things that you have done or gotten on Valentine’s Day to make you thankful for the loved ones in your life?

The greatest gift I ever got for Valentine's Day was the homemade card from my son just brought home from school. He was so proud and couldn't wait to give it to me. It was covered with glitter (that got all over my car, that part I didn't like lol) but it was still very sweet. Tomorrow, I'm going to take him to the zoo for a mommy and son Valentine's Day date!

I agree with you Stephanie that Valentine's Day is about sharing love with those you care about. I'm so thankful for all of my family and friends and try to express that love everyday besides Valentine's Day. My greatest gift (that I get everyday) is the excitement from my dog Dexter when i enter through the door. He is always happy to see me and that makes me feel special! He always brightens up my days!
